Hem Wadhar joined Sequoia in 2016, where he leads the Data Science practice. Before Sequoia, Hem was at Palantir Technologies, where he spearheaded multiple projects in the media and consumer packaged goods sectors. He also provided analytic oversight across the commercial business and founded Palantir's commercial data science team. Hem holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA and a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Henry supports the Consulting arm at Neudata, informing and assisting data-owning firms to enter and better compete in the alternative-data market.

Henry formerly worked as a consultant in technology policy, helping tech firms navigate business-critical geopolitical shifts, changes in regulatory regimes, and new product launches that leveraged emerging technologies. Prior to his role as a consultant, Henry completed a Masters in conflict studies at the London School of Economics and a Scottish Masters in International Relations at the University of St Andrews.

Ian heads the Client Engagement group at Neudata, as well as its busy programme of events. He has spent the last six years helping asset managers, investment banks and retailers to get value out of traditional and alternative data. Prior to that, Ian's experience encompassed analytical and commercial roles at Vodafone, Bank of Scotland and Liberty Mutual.

Ian holds an MA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and a Saltire Fellowship in Entrepreneurship from Babson College, Massachusetts.

Jerry Ye, recognized as a 2024 Data Driven VC Top 20 thought leader, has over 15 years of experience leveraging massive user datasets and predictive modeling to drive strategic decisions in venture capital.

As a founding partner at SignalFire, Jerry was instrumental in building one of the top 20 data-driven venture firms, specializing in using alternative data sources, benchmarking, and data-driven diligence to identify promising investments and drive portfolio growth. At Lightspeed, Jerry continued to innovate as a partner, founding the data team and further establishing another top data-driven venture firm.

Before his tenure in venture capital, Jerry developed scalable machine learning systems at Yahoo Labs and Drawbridge, modeling user behavior and optimizing user acquisition spending across multiple channels. He has deep expertise in cross-device targeting, conversion modeling, and understanding lifetime value (LTV) dynamics.

Jonathan Chin is an accomplished data professional with over a decade of experience in the financial services data, analytics, and artificial intelligence industries.  As an accomplished entrepreneur, Jonathan co-founded Facteus, a leading data-as-a-service (DaaS) company specializing in consumer transaction data insights and analytics, where he has honed his expertise in alternative data, financial analysis, and product development.

Additionally, Jonathan is a guest lecturer for the University of Illinois Finance and Entrepreneur program. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Jonathan has been an Intelligence professional for 15 years, starting his career in the British Army Intelligence Corps where he supported the UK Special Forces on operational tours, before working on secondment to a UK Government Intelligence Agency.

Since leaving the military, Jonathan has specialised in developing risk horizon scanning services for clients, allowing them to increase resiliency across their operations, services, third parties and investments.

Jonathan has a Master’s degree in Terrorism, Crime and Global Security.

Julia Fitzgerald is Group Product Director at Earnest Analytics where she leads the Healthcare Datasets team. Julia is responsible for product development and strategy for Earnest’s medical and pharmacy claims datasets, which track trends across biopharma, medtech, and healthcare services. Before her Product Manager role, she used transaction data to forecast revenue estimates for retail companies as a financial services analyst.

Prior to Earnest, Julia was a research assistant at Harvard where she conducted studies and analyzed experimental data on various topics within judgment and decision-making. Julia holds a Social Psychology degree from Princeton.

Karthik Kumar is the cofounder and CEO at Amplify Data, a software platform to help data vendors accelerate data sales through data personalization, flexible data delivery, and rich consumption analytics. Across its clients, Amplify today serves 150+ data products to thousands of consumers every month.

Before founding Amplify, he was the VP of Operations at Aera Technology, where he helped build and scale the decision intelligence business globally. Karthik got his first taste of the startup world as a VC investor at NEA, where he invested in early-stage data companies. Karthik holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Keava is a Research Analyst at Neudata. Prior to Neudata Keava previously spent a year in Private Equity Advisory and Consulting, executing mandates across the private capital sector.  Keava holds an MA in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, with a focus on Political Violence.
