Avinash is the Director of Research and Insights at Fable Data, where he helps investment clients understand and use consumer transaction data to drive improved investment decisions. Prior to this role, Avinash was an equity analyst at Macquarie Group in Australia and the UK, where he provided investment insights to fund management clients across a range of sectors, including fintech and technology.

Avinash is a CFA charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) from Monash University. He also has a keen interest in investing, technology, and data analytics, and completed a Fintech Programme at Oxford University.

Chris Ackerson is Vice President of Product at AlphaSense where his team applies the latest innovations in Artificial Intelligence to the information discovery challenges of investment professionals and other knowledge workers. Before AlphaSense, Chris held roles in both product and engineering at IBM Watson where he led successful early commercialization efforts. Chris studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon and is based in New York.

Danesh has been apart of Neudata's research team since 2022. Since joining the team, he has helped high frequency and fundamental trading firms identify novel datasets across various asset classes. Today, Danesh sits on Neudata's macro research team helping build relationships and grow the companies coverage of alternative and traditional data products.

Ed is currently the VP of Investor Intelligence heading up the Finance vertical at Placer.ai, the market leading geolocation data provider. Prior to this, he spearheaded the Finance vertical at Similarweb, which he led for over 6 years, enabling them to become a global leader in the alternative data space. Ed is a seasoned thought leader and has worked with 100s of investment institutions helping them drive their adoption of Alternative Data

Eliza Raphael is the Head of Data Services at Jump Trading, LLC, a quantitative trading firm, where she is focused on continuing to drive the firm’s strategic data initiatives forward.  Prior to Jump, Eliza was Head of Market Data Services at Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, LLC, a global multi-manager hedge fund. Eliza oversaw a team that was responsible for the strategy and sourcing of market data, spanning both traditional and alternative data within a variety of asset classes and regions. In addition to her role within market data, Eliza was an active leader in Schonfeld’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Alliance.

Earlier in her career, Eliza spent over 13 years at Nasdaq where her various roles included market data sales, product management, and business development. Her last role within Nasdaq was as Head of Alternative Data Partnerships for the Nasdaq Analytics Hub which acquired Quandl in late 2018. Eliza began her career at Bloomberg where she held both product and sales roles in New York and London.

Eliza’s extensive career spanning market data vendors, exchanges and the buy-side provides her a unique perspective into the market data landscape. Her experiences with alternative data, acquiring datasets for Nasdaq and Quandl as well as end-user consumers at Schonfeld, gives her insight into the many sides of the alternative data space.

Eliza is a graduate of James Madison University with a double major in International Business and Spanish. She currently lives in Westchester with her husband Adam and her two children, Jake and Lily.

Ian Picache was most recently Managing Director and Chief Analytics Officer at Roark Capital, a consumer-focused private equity firm with $38 billion AUM. At Roark, he is responsible for the department that uses data and analytics to help Roark be better investors and drive value in its portfolio companies. At Roark Ian rebuilt the firm's data function, improving the depth, speed, and accuracy of insights.

Prior to Roark, Ian was the Managing Partner and co-founder of Two Six Capital. Over eight years, Ian and his team built a distinctive data analytics platform, drawing upon 25 years of intellectual property, academic research, and the analysis of over $160 billion in granular, transaction-level data. Ian was also on the Advisory Board of the Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative.

Ian co-founded and was the sole investor in several ecommerce companies, including the luxury flash sale site Bergine (acquired by Gilt Groupe). Over the course of his technology investing career, Ian has completed investments in 22 technology companies with 17 IPOs and acquisitions. Ian received a B.A. in Engineering Sciences and Economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Ian heads the Client Engagement group at Neudata, as well as its busy programme of events. He has spent the last six years helping asset managers, investment banks and retailers to get value out of traditional and alternative data. Prior to that, Ian's experience encompassed analytical and commercial roles at Vodafone, Bank of Scotland and Liberty Mutual.

Ian holds an MA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and a Saltire Fellowship in Entrepreneurship from Babson College, Massachusetts.

Hi, Jason Koulouras, or Jason K as well, I am delighted to be a customer of Neudata and involved in the alternative data space.  Recently, Neudata requested me to step up my engagement, resulting in me being here today as part of this distinguished panel.

I have 38 years of working experience in the capital markets, of which the past 28 years relate directly to the Market, Research and Reference Data practices. Combining vendor, sell-side, buy-side, and exchange experience, my intent is to bring a quality voice from the buyside/consumer camp that is both advocacy leading and practically workable, striving to bring both relationship management and longer-term perspective as the essential attributes and goals.

The most rewarding aspect of my professional opportunities is my commitment to take calls, with folks seeking to enter/transition into the capital markets industry, as part of my core values of helping people.  At its core, I design my role as Servant-Leader, something I had an idea of what that was in the mid-90’s and have continued to evolve, refine, and grow over time.  To close, I also love reading books, especially about subjects I have little or no understanding of, to constantly push the horizon broader of realizing how much I don’t know, achieving continuous growth and learning.
