Lauren Stevens is a Quantitative Researcher & Developer in the Strategy & Planning Department of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). Prior to joining ADIA, Mrs. Stevens was Senior Vice President, Senior Strategist for FactSet’s Content and Technology Solutions, responsible for analyzing market research and determining the direction of the FactSet content, cloud, alternative data and technology strategy. Mrs. Stevens holds a B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University.

Aditya Saraswat is a Vice President at Rystad Energy, heading the Middle East and East Mediterranean energy analysis. Aditya has over 10 years of work experience in Upstream Operational and Business Analysis. He holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from the Norwegian University of Technology in Norway and a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-ISM), India.

Barney joined Neudata's research team in 2021, where he is responsible for uncovering new datasets across a range of sectors including ESG, digital and consumer-oriented landscapes. Previously, Barney spent three years at an executive search firm executing mandates across ESG, distribution, investment roles.He holds an MA in History from the University of St Andrews.

Basma Rady is a highly accomplished professional currently serving as the Chief Data Scientist at

Beltone Financial Holding (BTFH.CA), a leading investment bank in the MENA region. With a strong

background in data science and advanced analytics, Basma brings a wealth of expertise to her role in

Beltone since early 2023.

In addition to her role at Beltone, Basma is currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty of Data Science in

the Mathematics and Actuarial Science Department at the American University in Cairo. Before joining

Beltone Financial, Rady was the Founder and Head of the Data Science and Advanced Analytics Hub

at the Central Bank of Egypt (2020-2023). In this capacity, she spearheaded the development of the

hub’s strategy, vision, mission, and operating model to successfully launch the hub within six months.

She led a cross-functional team that delivered data science and analytics projects that provided the

Governor with near real time view of Egypt’s economy, leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning

and natural language processing techniques.

Prior to her work at the Central Bank, Rady served as a Data Science Manager in the Transaction

Advisory Services division at Ernst & Young in Dubai (2016-2020). Her expertise in data analysis and

machine learning contributed to the success of various projects for clients across the MENA region

including conducting current state assessment of data and analytics maturity, designing organization-

wide advanced analytics vision and roadmap of use cases, and leading the implementation of end-to-

end data analytics projects.

Rady holds a Master's degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering with a

concentration in Financial Engineering from Cornell University and received a Bachelor's degree in

Actuarial Science and Business Administration (Finance) from the American University in Cairo.

Alex Aliper, PhD, is the President of Insilico Medicine. He pioneered the application of AI in multi-omics data for drug discovery and drug repurposing, generative chemistry and generative biology and put an AI-designed drug into human clinical trials. Alex Aliper built a team of over 100 AI engineers that developed state-of-the-art software products for target discovery, small molecule generation and clinical trial outcome prediction. He was recognised as "Top 100 AI Leaders in Drug Discovery and Advanced Healthcare" by Deep Knowledge Analytics. In 2020 Endpoint News selected Alex Aliper as the top 20 under 40 biotechnology executives globally.

Josef is a recognised industry leader in Alternative Data for Fundamental Investing. He has spent twelve years as equity investor, seven years as a hedge fund partner – and is an industry pioneer in using alternative data, having created trackers in-house before the alternative industry even existed. Josef is a regularly invited Conference Speaker and Guest Lecturer at The University of Oxford for “Alternative Data for Fundamental Investing”.

Josef is the ex Co-Founder and Partner of Portsea Asset Management, an investor with a successful track record of fundamental investments in internet and technology companies. His other previous roles also included Investment Analyst for QVT Financial and Equity Trader for Barclays Capital.

Dr. Mo Namazi is an Adjunct Professor in AI with a distinguished academic and publication track record in industry applications. He has over 20 years of expertise in applied enterprise and government use cases of Data & AI. His academic foundation has paved the way for his professional journey. Specializing in blending AI management with deep customer insights, he is a strong advocate of digital innovation. During the last 10 years, he has enabled organizations to transform into AI-enhanced, data-driven powerhouses across various sectors, emphasizing actionable strategies and an analytics-centric mindset.

Saeed Amen is a co-founder of Turnleaf Analytics. Turnleaf Analytics publishes forecasts for macroeconomic data releases including inflation using machine learning and alternative data. Saeed Amen has developed systematic trading strategies at major investment banks including Lehman Brothers and Nomura. He is the author of Trading Thalesians: What the ancient world can teach us about trading today (Palgrave Macmillan) and is the coauthor of The Book of Alternative Data (Wiley). He has developed many popular Python libraries including finmarketpy and tcapy for transaction cost analysis. He has presented  at many conferences and institutions which include the ECB, IMF, Bank of England and Federal Reserve Board. He is also a visiting lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, the founder of Cuemacro and a co-founder of the Thalesians.
