THE AMERICAN DATA PRIVACY AND PROTECTION ACT
The ADPPA is a landmark US privacy bill that tries to crack down on the improper use of consumer data. Companies that source information from devices that can potentially reveal sensitive user identifiable information, such as names and emails, are affected. If passed, this bill could set guidelines for how companies collect, use and share the personal data of Internet users in the US.
