David joined the team in 2013 and is responsible for managing the research sales team and directly covers several clients globally. Prior to this, David was Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Primary Insight, originally built inside Bear Stearns in 2006 and acquired by J.P. Morgan in 2008. In 2009, David led a management buyout from JPM along with his partners and establish the company as an independent entity where he expanded the firm into China, UK and Australia through early 2013. Previously, David held senior direct sales and sales management roles for Vista Research and Jupiter Research earlier in his career. David holds a BA from Colgate University.
Elizabeth is a Vice President in Equity Research and member of Institutional Investor's top three ranked IT Hardware team led by Katy Huberty. She joined Morgan Stanley in 2012 after graduating from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Finance, and has 7+ years of industry experience. Elizabeth holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 registrations. She is the co-head of undergraduate recruiting in Equity Research and a member of the department's technology steering committee.
Sajjad Jaffer is Founder, Managing Partner at Two Six Capital, the technology firm that has pioneered Data Science for Private Equity. Founded in 2013, Two Six has participated in over $32 billion worth of private equity transactions that have closed. The firm's technology platform has analyzed over $140 billion of granular transaction data to date. Two Six's intellectual property is backed by 25 years of breakthrough research from Wharton. Sajjad holds a B.A. from Bowdoin and an M.B.A. from Wharton. He proudly serves on the Advisory Board for the Wharton Customer Analytics research center.
Mark Kriss is Co-Founder and CEO of Geofinancial Analytics, an alternative ESG data provider using satellite remote sensing technology. Mark also serves as Chair of the External Advisory Board of Minnesota’s world-renowned Institute on the Environment — one of the top climate science research centers – and is a charter member of the Sustainability Funds Council of Dimensional Fund Advisors. His prior tech startups were acquired by Dow Jones (financial analytics) and Cisco (network security). From 1995 through 2008, he served as a mentor in the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Mark holds an M.A. (communication research) from University of Minnesota, B.A. from University of California, Berkeley, and is a graduate of the Executive Program in Financial Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Rado Lipuš, CFA is the founder and CEO of Neudata, an alternative data intelligence and SaaS provider. Prior to founding Neudata, Rado's professional experience spans 20 years of FinTech leadership, quantitative risk management and data innovation for the buy-side. An acknowledged expert, Rado is regularly invited to speak about alternative data at conferences and industry events.
Nicolai Lundy is the Director of Education and Partnerships. He helps asset owners, asset managers, and data and analytics firms that are using the SASB standards in their work. In his role, Nicolai oversees SASB’s research licensing, membership, and education programs as well as the annual SASB conference and the SASB Navigator research platform. He led the development of SASB’s credential program – the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA). He's been with SASB since 2013 and before that he had a variety of client management and operations roles in Norway and the U.S.
Zander is CEO of SurveyMonkey and serves on its board of directors, which he has been a part of since 2009. Previously, Zander was Senior Vice President of Entertainment at GoPro; he has served on the company’s board of directors since 2016. Prior to GoPro, Zander was SVP of Strategic Development at CBS Corporation, via its acquisition of CNET Networks, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Development. Zander began his career in the technology investment banking group at JPMorgan, leading equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions in the Internet sector. He holds a JD and an MBA from Emory University, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington. Zander co-founded the California-based nonprofit organization CoachArt, which serves chronically ill children and their siblings.
Austin Mayeux joined ACA Aponix, ACA’s cybersecurity, privacy, and IT risk division, in December 2018. As Director of Client Development at Aponix, Austin handles the firm’s west coast business development efforts and manages client relationships and is based in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to ACA, Austin worked as an Associate Director at Eze Software Group. Before that, he served as a business consultant at the same firm. Austin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Louisiana State University.
Raquel is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at CircleUp, an investment platform powered by technology. She leads the Knowledge Graph team, which links and organizes data from hundreds of sources at scale. Prior to CircleUp, Raquel was a Software Engineer at Procter & Gamble, where she developed systems for price forecasting applications. Raquel received her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Costa Rica and her M.S. in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University.
Daryl is Head of Research at Neudata. He and his team are responsible for researching and discovering alternative datasets for a wide range of asset managers worldwide. In doing so, Neudata are able to deliver objective advice to clients on exactly which datasets are most appropriate for their investment strategy.
Ben joined the firm in 2001 and is a Managing Director. His areas of investment focus include Internet, software and information services. Prior to joining Spectrum, Ben worked at Bain & Company and co-founded TouchPak, Inc. He is Board Chair at Destination: Home, a public private partnership to end homelessness in Santa Clara County and is a Board member at Children’s Day School. Ben holds an AB, magna cum laude, from Duke University.
Michael Stern joined Earnest over two years ago and heads the company’s Financial Services Data Analyst team. Previously, he built and led a team at Earnest responsible for generating hundreds of new data assets and expanding coverage of the U.S. consumer economy. Prior to joining Earnest, he was an equity research analyst at Impala Asset Management across a number of sectors including homebuilders, building products, and retailers. Michael graduated from Swarthmore College with a degree in Economics and is a CFA charterholder
Michael Tich is currently Data Science lead and Head of Marketing Technology at Airbnb, with a focus on Host Growth. He previously had senior Marketing Technology roles with Zynga, Google and iCracked. His cross-sector experience has given him a multitude of lessons in how to apply first and third-party data to real world marketing challenges. Michael holds Master of Engineering (Systems Engineering) and Bachelor of Science (Operations Research / Mechanical Engineering) degrees from Cornell, and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Marta V. Lopata is the Chief Growth Officer at Thinknum where she helps investors, businesses and media to leverage alternative data sources. Her specialties include web crawling, ESG, knowledge graph technologies, late stage startups analytics, portfolio performance and forecasting. Marta has also co-founded Thinknum's media outlet which attracted more than a million reader with its alternative-data focused market insights about leading public and private companies. Prior to joining Thinknum, she led product teams in digital fabrication & robotics in China and France.
Anagha Vaidhyanathan is an Executive Director in the Institutional Equities Division at Morgan Stanley. She has worked at the firm for 8.5 years, in both New York and San Francisco. Anagha advises hedge funds and asset managers on investments in global equities with a focus in Pan-Asia and technology, media, and internet companies. She spearheads Morgan Stanley’s Quantitative and Systematic Advisory Services efforts on the West Coast. Anagha has a BA in Economics from Wellesley College. She is on the board of the Wellesley Alumni Club of Silicon Valley and has a deep passion for financial literacy and education.
Ian heads the Client Engagement group at Neudata, as well as its busy programme of events. He has spent the last six years helping asset managers, investment banks and retailers to get value out of traditional and alternative data. Prior to that, Ian's experience encompassed analytical and commercial roles at Vodafone, Bank of Scotland and Liberty Mutual.
Ian holds an MA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and a Saltire Fellowship in Entrepreneurship from Babson College, Massachusetts.
Artemiza has over 15 years of investment management experience. Before co-founding Integrated Quantitative Investments, Artemiza was most recently a quantitative researcher at Man Numeric. Her research efforts focused on alpha signals, data processing, and model construction. Prior to joining Man Numeric in 2015, Artemiza was at Russell Investments for over a decade, where, as senior researcher, she focused on quantitative manager selection. Artemiza has taught courses in finance, economics and statistics at the University of Washington and the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Artemiza has a PhD in finance from University of Washington, and an MSc and BSc(Hons) in mathematics from University of Auckland. Her academic research focused on asset pricing and portfolio optimization. She has published in prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, and Management Science.
Takashi Yamada is the VP, Head of Sales for the Data Solution at Nikkei America and has been with the company for 2 years after seconded from Nikkei. He is responsible for client management in the US for its unique Japanese Alternative/Market Data. Before Nikkei, He has got experience as a business consultant at a consulting firm and engineer at an advertising firm and Daiwa Institute of Research after graduating from The University of Tokyo.
Anjun has two decades of investment management experience. Her latest role was Head of Multi-Asset and Multi-Factor Research at Mellon Capital, responsible for the R&D of investment strategies and solutions. Prior to Mellon Capital, Anjun held senior roles at Wall Street firms such as Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, responsible for portfolio management, research and product development. Anjun serves on the Research Committee of Q Group. She has authored publications on real asset investing, stock selection using artificial intelligence and volatility modeling. Anjun earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a B.A. in Business Administration from Peking University. She completed the Stanford GSB LEAD Program on Corporate Innovation.
