    Zhipeng Cai is a vice president in Morgan Stanley’s China economics research team who joined the firm in 2017. He is part of the Asia Pacific team that has persistently ranked among the top three for Economics in the Institutional Investor All-Asia survey. Zhipeng holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and a PhD in economics.

    Diana Choyleva is a leading expert on China’s economy and politics. She is Chief Economist at Enodo Economics, an independent macroeconomic and political forecasting company she set up in 2016 to untangle complexity, challenge the consensus, and make sense of the future. For 16 years prior, she worked at Lombard Street Research, most recently as Chief Economist and Head of Research. She has analysed China since 2000 and has co-authored three books: ‘China’s Quest for Financial Self-reliance’ (2022), ‘The American Phoenix – and why China and Europe will struggle after the coming slump’ (2011) and ‘The Bill from the China Shop’ (2006).

    Greg Shore is Founder and CEO of Crystal Shore Dashboards.     Academe: Greg’s doctoral dissertation was dedicated to interactive decision-making in situations of risk and uncertainty; resource allocation and deployment; and payoff-maximization in constant-sum and variable-sum games.

    Game Theory: Greg was a semi-pro backgammon player and won the World Team Championships in Monte-Carlo in 1989. Greg’s backers for tournament play were a group of traders on the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

    Emerging Markets: After lecturing in Political Theory at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, Greg worked as a management consultant for the Development Bank of Southern Africa.

    Money Management: at Merrill Lynch, Greg led a 6-person portfolio management team overseeing 500 million USD of client assets. As Chief Investment Officer of ING’s global private client business, Greg oversaw 80 billion EUR of AUM and 200 investment professionals in Europe and Asia.

    Start-Ups: over the past 15 years, Greg has founded 3 start-up companies: ING Private Capital Management (Luxembourg); Crystal Shore Wealth Management SARL (Luxembourg); and Crystal Shore Dashboards (Switzerland).

    Chief China Equity Strategist

    Laura Wang is a managing director and the chief China equity strategist for Morgan Stanley. Laura’s coverage includes both the onshore A-share market and the offshore China equity space including the Hong Kong market and Chinese companies listed in the US market. Laura has been consistently ranked as the No.1 equity strategist in Institutional Investor buy-side surveys since 2019. Laura is a key member of the Morgan Stanley Asia/global emerging markets equity strategy team, which has been ranked as the No. 1 equity strategy team in the same survey between 2018-2022. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2012, Laura had worked as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group in its New York office. Laura has an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.

    Helena is the Head of Asia Research at Neudata. She covers APAC alternative data suppliers with a particular focus on China. Prior to Neudata, Helena worked as sales operation manager at UBS Evidence Lab and alternative data product manager at 86 Research and Juwai.com. Helena has also worked at Pacific Epoch as Co-Head of Research and senior TMT analyst.

    Helena holds a Master's degree in Political Economy of Late Development from the London School of Economics.
